Sexual objectification and depression among female college students in India

Background: Literature suggests that the prevalence of depression among female college students is more than male students. Repeated sexual objectification females appears to be one factor can used explain this disparity and higher in attributed repeated experiences by them. This study examines association between at a medical Rajasthan, India. Methods: A cross-sectional observational was conducted attending government We Interpersonal Sexual Objectification Scale, surveillance subscale Objective Body Consciousness Scale and, Beck Depression Inventory-II measure objectification, body depressive symptoms respectively. Results: strongly predicted severity symptoms(p=0.00001). Results multiple linear regression indicated there strong collective significant effect surveillance, depression, (p = 0.0001, R2 0.63).
